Royal the Robin is inspired by the tiny but bold Robins in my garden, with his bright chest Royal truly represents these charming little birds. We start with the earflaps or wings. The main head is knitted in stocking stitch, with a little intarsia work, then decreasing to shape the crown. The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. The chest is knitted and toy stuffing inserted which together with his beak creates his fantastic 3D look.
