Inspired by EB White's Stuart Little, Max is magnificently oversized which enhances his house mouse look. The main head is knitted in stocking stitch starting with ear flaps, we work in a little intarsia continuing with the head and decreasing to shape the crown.  The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. The oversized ears give distinctive mouse features and the snout is stuffed to give extra definition.  Whiskers are embroidered on and Max is finished with his slender tail.
