Kaia the Koala is hand-knitted by Imagine a Hat's designer and creator, Natasha.  Kaia's main head is made from 100% Premium Acrylic Yarn, whilst her fluffy ears are made from Polyester and Wool. The main head features ear flaps, a large snout and nose, topped with fluffy ears and black eyes. Kaia is finished with an authentic Imagine a Hat tag.

Unstretched Kaia's circumference is 60cm/23.5in. Our big, bold hats were originally designed with the idea of bringing an element of fun to a child's favourite books therefore with this size one size fits all.  Adults can wear them at storytime and children can use them to recreate their favourite scenes.

Please feel free to contact Imagine a Hat if you have any questions.

What We're Reading

Here are some of our favourite books we read with Kaia the Koala…

The Koala Who Could by Rachel Bright

Kevin the Koala is happy clinging onto his tree and not letting go. The other animals want Kevin to come down and play but he just can’t. Find out what happens when Kevin’s tree falls to the ground in this happy rhyming story.

Don’t Call Me Bear by Aaron Blabey

A hilarious story told by Warren the Koala who is fed up with being called “bear”. He will teach you how Koalas became known as a bear, show you he is a marsupial and confirm there are no bears in Australia.

Nala the Koala Illustrated by Penny Min Furguson

Nala the Koala has lost her home and has to walk and walk to find a nook for her naps. Teaching the importance of preserving natural habitats all royalties from this book go to WIRES an Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation.
