Guthrie the Greenfinch
£3.99
Need-le a flying friend to accompany you on your adventures through the sky. Guthrie the Greenfinch will be the perfect companion and story-singer.
Imagine a Hat could do all that…
This is a downloadable PDF knitting pattern
Guthrie the Greenfinch will have you whispering a merry tune. The main head has instructions for working both flat or in-the-round. Knitted in stocking stitch, starting with earflaps (wings), then decreasing to shape the crown. The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. His giant beak creates his fantastic 3D features especially when accompanied by his white eyes and long tail feathers trailing down his back.

What We're Reading
Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson & illustrated by Axel Scheffler
Find out if there is room on the broom for you and save the witch from becoming the dragon’s dinner with chips, whilst making friends along the way. Visit our website for designs for Casey the Cat, Devin the Dog, Diesel the Dragon, Tilia the Toad and if you want companions for Guthrie’s adventure.
Little Home Bird by Jo Empson
Little Bird loves his home. His favourite branch, his favourite food, his favourite view and his favourite music. As the weather gets colder he must fly south for the winter and leave it all behind.
Sylvia and the Bird by Catherine Rayner
Sylvia is lonely until she finds a friend in Bird. They set off on an adventure to the moon but it does not go to plan so they head back home together realising that all they need is each other. Perhaps Diesel the Dragon can play the part of Sylvia.
