Fausto is inspired by the brightly coloured Red-Eyed Tree Frogs. His yellow circular suckers are the start of his lovey features, we work in intarsia for the feet adding colour as we go, continuing up to the main head which is knitted in stocking stitch including a blue for the ear flaps and changing to green for the head and decreasing to shape the crown. The facial features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. His snout with nostrils is stuffed with toy stuffing which gives a fantastic 3D effect and his bright red eyes finish him off swimmingly.

The basics have been mastered and ready for something a bit more intricate, this pattern uses colourwork in intarsia and/or stranded knitting. This pattern will use advanced shaping and may introduce lacework
