Canon the Crocodile is inspired by Roald Dahl's The Enormous Crocodile. We have used different stitches to create Cannon's textures. Knitted flat and starting at his tail we make some bobbles, the main head is knitted in stocking stitch, a little intarsia work for shaping the mouth then decreasing to shape the crown. Cannon's has a cream wavy underbelly. The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. Cannon's long snout is stuffed with toy stuffing which together with sharp teeth and nostrils gives a fantastic 3D effect. Canon's diamond-shaped eyes, covered with eyelids finish him off swimmingly.
