This is a downloadable PDF knitting pattern
Inspired by Beatrix Potter's Mrs. Tiggy Winkle Harriet the Hedgehog will keep you nice and warm on your midnight adventures. The main head is knitted in stocking stitch starting with ear flaps, we work in intarsia to create the shape of her face working up decreasing to shape the crown. The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. The snout is stuffed with toy stuffing which together with Harriet's eyes and nose create a fantastic 3D effect. We have used two different yarns and the Lark's Head knot to create Harriet's mane of prickles.

What We're Reading
The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle by Beatrix Potter
I adore Beatrix Potter’s beautiful watercolour illustrations. Pop on Harriet and be transformed into Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle busying herself with all the animals’ laundry and help Lucie find lost handkerchiefs.
Hedgehog in the Fog by Yuri Norstein & Sergey Kozlov
Hedgehog must get to bear’s house for tea and raspberry jam but on his way, he walks into thick fog and encounters the mystical creatures of the woodland. Check out our patterns for Oslo the Owl, Hayden the Horse, Devin the Dog and Buddy the Bear for companions on your beautiful adventure.
Ferdinand the Fox and the Hedgehog by Karen Inglis
Ferdinand and Ed the Hedgehog are out for a stroll when they bump into each other, although Ed is scared Ferdinand proves to be a very special fox. Check out the fun fox and hedgehog facts at the back of the book too. Maybe head over to see Fable the Fox to complete the duo.
