Spotting Ladybirds always brings children joy but unfortunately in the UK Ladybirds are in decline Lyra the Ladybird is designed with the traits of the 7 Spot Ladybird. The main head is knitted in stocking stitch starting with ear flaps we work in intarsia to create the shape of his face working up and decreasing to shape the crown. The features are knitted separately, sewn together then attached to the head. The face is stuffed with toy stuffing which together with Lyra's eyes and Antennae create a fantastic 3D effect. Lyra is finished with her 7 black spots.
